kitchen infrastructure so good it feels like cheating ;)
my 5 min assembly meals, how to focus on ingredients that solve multiple problems, proteins and veggies that require no planning, a heavenly egg roll in a bowl + piña colada protein popsicles 🤸
here’s what i’m covering in today’s letter in case you’re short on time :)
- how to focus on ingredients that solve multiple problems
- my “i can’t be bothered meals” that take 5 minutes to assemble
- proteins and veggies that require basically no planning
- 2 of my favorite recipes right now: a heavenly egg roll in a bowl sitch and a piña colada protein popsicle of my dreams!!!! 🤸🏼♂️
hi hello!!! ♥️
real quick before today's newsletter! i'm heading to the airport soon hence the pre-6a pst timestamp (!!) and there are a couple things that made it in my limited and therefore precious luggage space that have been working overtime for me lately that i feel strongly about!!
i found a new electrolyte!! look, every so often i step out on my og ball and chain ultima and it’s really fun and new and exciting. she will always be important to me, but omg this lemon lime flavor really does it for me lately (i also used in the low sug protein piña colada popsicles down below which are my main interest currently!!)
i recently discovered this hyaluronic hydrating face mist thingy and wowww i wish i had when i flew to ny a couple weeks ago. i fully intend to spritz liberally on this trip. (it's unscented, i personally believe spraying anything scented on a plane should qualify as a federal offense, but i digress)
also last time i shared my favorite protein bar ahead of my last trip they sold out rather instantly and some people were irritated (and honestly fair), but i went back for a restock and they are back amen. to know me is to know i am deeply annoying when it comes to protein bars or anything like this. i reject most for one reason or another so if something makes it in here, it’s because i'd buy or rec to a client/best friend. that’s really important to me (ok rant over ♥️ u)
☆☾ and now onto something i've been wanting to write for a long time... ☾☆
i've always wanted a kitchen that quietly took care of me. not in a perfect pinterest way with the labeled meal prep stuff (that’s always kinda freaked me out tbh)…just one that has my back. a setup so thoughtful that even when i’m tired and can’t be bothered there’s a lifeline waiting for me
that’s what today’s newsletter is about!! the handful of things i’d prioritize if i were building a kitchen from scratch today…not to cook more elaborate meals, but to make taking good care suspiciously easier ;) ;) ;) tools that rig the game in your favor ♥️
the building blocks!
proteins that require no planning: my favs in every category (fridge/freezer/pantry)!
