here’s what i’m covering in today’s letter in case you’re short on time :)

- a detailed guide on my POV for how to take really good care of our mouths (it matters!!)
- the frittata recipe i have on permanent repeat
- literally the best tuna you’ve ever had
- a sub in a tub sitch that is so tasty and satisfying
- the tea that’s become a part of my wind down routine

mindset reset: we should probably take better care of our mouths

here’s the thing, i’m very into the gut and vaginal microbiomes and do a lot to support both of mine, but as someone who has been in the wellness space for a really freaking long time, i’m often surprised by how little love the oral microbiome gets. we should change that!!

any time i’m telling a friend about my obsession with oral health i worry that they’ll overfocus on the stuff they haven’t been doing and go into a shame spiral about it, and i really get it bc that was me 18 years ago. i had to get a root canal (gasp)…but ya know what…the process scared me effing straight and i have been truly on one about taking care of my mouth ever since and it’s served me really well. i share that detail so that if you’re feeling a lil behind on the oral health front, you’re in good company and you’re all good, just get on it now :)

like our other precious microbiomes, getting them in tippity top shape involves making sure the good bacteria outnumber the not so good and balancing pH, and, as you can imagine, getting really dialed in here is deeply important because it effects what passes through into our GI tracts and beyondddd. here’s what i recommend to make sure you’re dialed the f in:
