here’s what i’m covering in today’s letter in case you’re short on time :)

- the specific actions n behaviors for closing the gap between what we want and what we’re doing daily (while having fun w it!!!)
- recipes i can’t stop thinking about, my take on a PSL, my foot care routine etc. etc. etc. to get psyched ab cozier times
- a fall future self signaling exercise

mindset reset:

if you’re reading this on the day it was intended (labor day) i hope it finds you really good n rested. but don’t be spooked if it also fills you with tiny to moderate dread…the same way we might feel on a sunday evening. transitions are hard (even happy ones can be). and the goodbye to summer is an emo one (although we still have 3 more eps of summer i turned pretty). i’ve been talking about it (the transition, not summer i turned pretty, although to be fair, that too) a lot in my private practice and in life and at home because oliver had to get on a better sleep sched for school (we had partied pretty hard over the summer with late bedtimes but that wasn’t gonna cut it for the school year). i thought he’d be bummed about the shift but i realized there was something way more powerful at play: the excitement of a new year, back with his buddies, some fresh looks, there’s that feeling of what ifff and who knows and it’s energizing…

i can access it too…and it’s been extra relevant in my private practice (lots of new peeps here so hiii, i've been working with clients for the last 14 years). growing up i lovedddd that feeling of getting new notebooks and pens and binders and getting everything all organized and personalized. staples, i still ride for you!!! it just makes you genuinely excited to lock tf in and the spirit of it has helped me vibe shift summer coming to a close and has helped me counsel in practice all week…basically this energy!!!!

so without further adieu, let’s romanticize routine to lock in extra ;)
