mindset reset:
let me just say from experience: skin stuff is vulnnnnnnerable.
like many people/practitioners, my interest in (ok obsession with) skincare stemmed from my own skin woes that started in my early 20s…between stress, undiagnosed celiac, and too many bouts of antibiotics, my gut lining was left understandably confused and irritated. what followed: food sensitivities from gut permeability and skin barrier issues (particularly my chin) that presented as acne led me to every dermatologist in manhattan. i was given every serum, ointment and routine, and my acne would go away, and then rebound even more aggressively. the products and cleansers and routines stripped my skin barrier further, which ultimately left me vvvv sensitive to products (even and almost especially cool expensive ones, go figure). eventually i worked it out, by taking really good care of my gut, and gentle with my skin barrier, and although i’m still mega sensitive, i feel really good 🥹.
i say all that to preface: i get how vulnerable skin stuff is, and feeling glowy and good skinwise (through food/life/products and beyond) has been deeply important to me for a real long time, and i’m excited to share my lineup/routine for all things skin down to the very last detail!
